THE LORD LOOKS UPON THE HEART

God knows everything about us, including the secret chambers of our heart. Here are some verses that confirm this doctrine:

"But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh [approves, discerns, perceives, views] on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts [most interior organ, bethink themselves, things unaware, enclosed], and understandeth all the imaginations [concepts, things framed] of the thoughts [contrivance, intention, plan, purpose, thought]: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever: (1 Chronicles 28:9).

"Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)" (2 Chronicles 6:30).

"Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart" (Psalms 44:21).

"I the LORD search [penetrate, examine, find out, try] the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings" (Jeremiah 17:10).

But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man” (John 2:24-25).

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen” (Acts 1:24).

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works” (Revelation 2:23).

For the word [Greek logos, i.e., Christ and His gospel message] of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do” (Hebrews 4:12-13).t then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known (1 Corinthians 13:12).
"Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain"
(James 5:7).

Wait  on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall
strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD"
(Psalms 27:14).
