REASONS WHY GOD IS WORKING IN OUR LIVES

To Cause All Things To Work Together For Good: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28).

To Bring Us To Repentance: Of those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:4-5).

To Bring Us To Trust In God: For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead (2 Cor 1:8-9).

To Bring Us To Righteousness And Holiness: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth [for our profit AND HOLINESS], and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth (Heb 12:6).

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby (Heb 12:10-11).

To Eventually Bring Us To Resurrection And Glory: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Cor 4:17).

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead (Php 3:10-11).

To Provide Us An Example: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his [Christ's] steps (1 Peter 2:21).

For His Predestined Purposes:Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain (Act 2:22-23).

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will (Ephesians 1:4-5).

PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was"
(2 Timothy 3:1-9).

"And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it"
 (John 2:1-5).

YE WILL NOT COME TO ME

"And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath
borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his
voice at any time, nor seen his shape.  And ye
have not his [gospel] word abiding in you: for
whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.  Search
the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal
life: and they are they which testify of me.  And
ye will not come to me, that ye might have life"
(John 5:37-40).

WISE UNTO SALVATION THROUGH FAITH

"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are
able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ
Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all
good works"
(2 Timothy 3:15-17).

LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE
KNOWN UNTO GOD

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known unto God. And the peace of God, which
passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things
(Philippians 4:8).
