FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL
In the book of Hebrews, we read For the word [Greek, logos;
i.e., Christ] of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and
spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature
that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that
we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession (Hebrews 4:12-14).
In
verse 12, “word” is translated from the Greek word “Logos,” which does not refer to the bible [as many believe], but to Jesus Christ,
who is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and the
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. These verses also refer to his and him, the greathigh priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God.

"Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver
us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father”
(Galatians 1:3-4).
I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE
HOUSE OF ISRAEL
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenantwith the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant
that I made with their fathers in the day that
I took them by the hand to bring
them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them,
saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I
will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will
put
my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be
their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach
no more every
man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for
they shall all know me, from the least of them
unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more”
(Jeremiah 31:31-34).
MAKE HASTE TO HELP ME, O LORD
“I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled
with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness
of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as
for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar
off. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all
the day long. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. Thus I was as a man that heareth
not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. For I said, hear me, lest
otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow
is continually before me. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. But mine enemies are lively, and they are
strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow
the thing that good is. Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation”
(Psalms 38:6-22).
FRET NOT THYSELF BECAUSE OF EVILDOERS
“A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against
the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires
of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness
as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday”
(Psalms 37:1-6).
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I
will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded:
they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that
contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy
right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee”
(Isaiah 41:10-13).
AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, EVEN to them that
believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”
(John 1:12-13).
“For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God IS eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord”
(Romans 6:23).
“For by grace are
ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast"
(Ephesians 2:8-9).
